Besides its capital city Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, Quebec and Victoria are some world-class cities of Canada. Furthermore, it has a large Asian Diaspora of students and offers a truly international educational experience. Costs of Study
It is estimated to run a budget between CAD 19000 and CAD 27000 per year to study in Canada along with the living expenses. The costs are based on the ones from the colleges and universities represented by us. For any specific college or university costing information, please contact us.
Part of your total costs can be met by a job. But, it is very tough to get one and it would always be ideal not to consider it as a source of funding. Full-time students registered in a degree or diploma-granting course are allowed to work on campus of the institution at which they are registered without the need for an employment authorization. This includes on-campus employment for graduate, teaching or research assistants. Spouses of full-time students are eligible for open or open/restricted employment authorizations, depending on medical requirements having been met. Students whose intended employment forms an integral part of their course of study such as undergraduate co-op programs, some programs offered by career colleges or language schools and some high school programs could experience real life work experience.
Financial Aid/Scholarships
There is only limited financial assistance available for international students. Scholarships are usually offered on merit basis; so it is very competitive to get one. Even if you get a scholarship, it will not cover your entire cost of study. Community and Career Colleges, and most private schools do not usually award scholarships. Most scholarships are available to graduate students in the form of tuition waivers, assistantships or fellowships and they are awarded in a wide variety of disciplines. Those students who show evidence of a high level of academic achievement, who have achieved high scores on standardized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, GMAT, etc.), who have specialized in a field or have a research interest which parallels that of department and faculty or private funding source, who have outstanding letters of recommendation and an impressive statement of purpose will more likely get financial aid.
